Founded in 1961, Comar was one of the first yards to use fibreglass for production craft. Today the Comet construction is a clever marriage of cutting-edge technologies and skilled artisan workmanship.

The biggest challenge with this model was to pack the substantial appeal of its bigger sisters, the 51 S and 45 S, into just 12 metres.

Launched in the wake of the success of the 51 S , the Comet 45 S reflects same general design principles and style. The hull was designed specifically with the idea of improving performance.

The boat is an Orc International racer-cruiser but given its high stability and hull type, she is optimized for IRC. Entirely built in carbon fiber impregnated with epoxy resin and sandwich foam in PVC of different densities the C_50 will be Comar’s new top-of-the-line yacht The sail plan features a square top mainsail and 105% foresail with an asymmetric spinnaker.
